Gili Islands Lombok Indonesia

Gili Air - Lombok

Gili Air is the closest to the mainland and the most quicly accessed of the three Gilis. Gili Air is has the largest local population of the three  and combines the charm of a tropical island, with access to the people and culture that make Lombok so special.

Diving facilities abound and there is nice snorkelling directly from the shore, particularly from the east and northest beaches. The south of the island has some good surf break in the right conditions.

The island economy has only recently been transformed from the fish market to a prevalently tourist market. There are continually new small resorts and restaurants springing up, which last just one season, whilst others, with greater experience, manage to establish themselves, and provide modest and primitive services that are of great interest to the tourists arriving on the island, in search of primitive adventures.

» For who wish to come on the busiest season we sugest you to make advance hotel booking before coming due to the accommodation mostly overbooked.
